It’s like having a Speedmaster 2998 and FOIS :) One would sit in the safebox and the other be daily beater. Also, the new one comes with the display back!

@Frederic_gva thanks for the pictures of the actual watch in the wild. IMHO, it's a much more attractive piece "in person" than the marketing photos would lead one to believe.

I was on the fence with one of these due to my belief that the reissue didn't have a galvanic / soleil / brushed metallic dial. All of the marketing pictures of the dial that I saw showed it as being a "flat" blue, or at least it appeared that way to me.

Seeing it now, I wish I would have picked one up and may still try and pick one up on the aftermarket. It will be interesting to see what the market will sustain on pricing for these.

@tcsasser This is why I posted those photos. The marketing pics are (sadly) always "photoshoped". I think it looks much better in real to be honest. I confirm the dial texture is a brushed blue, like the vintage one.

Again, 50 were sold through revolution and 50 others will be sold from the boutiques, so you still have a chance to get one.....

And when you buy from the boutique you'll get a free copy of Rössler's book.
Although probably most of the buyers of this watch probably have it already :)

Looking at real pictures made by @Frederic_gva under sun light, and comparing with vintage one, it seems the revival is much closer to vintage piece than I thought.

Lume marks and dial look amazing. Only the hands and the outer ring remain strong differences. But I am sure I will love revival timepiece.

IMHO both watches can be in the same collection, while vintage has a stronger character, and revival can be used with much more confidence

Anyone know if the lume is different on this reissue compared to the A384 reissue? I'm assuming so, as the A384 reissue looks more white

I took out my camera before the workday. These are the real colors. The product photos did not show the correct tone. You can click on the photo to see 1:1 (but still just 3000px photo, not full res).

    Thx, it looks great.

I would like to see the lume in person.

Anyone know when these hit the boutiques?

I just love it and can’t put the camera down, forgive me :)

The sun brings out so many shades.

    Here it is mine!

I fully enjoyed it for two days. I am really surprised for the texture of the dial... is awesome, no official picture captured that. It is brushed as the original, and dial changes a lot depending on the light.

I am not complete satisfied with outer ring (no presence at all, very flat), hands (I can’t describe why), and size (37 mm for a chronograph)... but I can live with it, and enjoy it.

what I am a little angry with is that I didn’t know that boutiques will have some units ... so I pay a lot (almost 2k eur) in taxes and customs... when I will be able to buy it inside Europe! Is that right??

    with these regional releases
Only 50 went to revolution, the other 50 to the boutiques so a slim chance to acquire one anyway I would assume.

This reissue is almost prefect and I'm really, really happy with it.
I agree that the outer ring of the dial was better on the original.
The square of the red hand is a little bit smaller on the reissue.
And the outer rings of the subdials are more on the white side on the reissue, more on the grey side on the original.
The case seems bigger than the original (compared to my a385 her in picture) but I assume it's because of the real 'unpolished' condition !

@myrules I was also a little bit angry when I discovered after ordering mine that 50 were for Zenith boutiques. I bought mine from The Rake and VAT was included.
