Wish this was available for the masses, or at least outside Japan. I have fond memories of watching this anime as a kid. What a cool piece I'll most likely never own.

Very cool. Have you seen the Seiko 5 jojo editions?
It seems like Japanese do get a lot of special editions, as well the speedmaster ‘midnight express’

i am not familiar with the anime and really don't like Zenith current strategy of re-issuing copies of their vintage pieces. . but i have to admit this i a seriously great looking watch

Just took a look. Interesting and decent price. Not really my style but good spin on the Seiko 5.

I really like brands making vintage watches. They make available some of the best grails, for a lot of new collectors ... and if they work in the past, why not now?

Zenith A386 revival or A384 are great re-editions. And I am just crazy about the new BREITLING Avi 765.

70s were very prolific with excellent and even risky designs, not the same in the next three decades.

Question is: are they diverting creative investment to effortless re-hashing, rather that creating. If they are doing both without detracting from the latter, fine; but, doesn’t seem that way at times.

of course!! Bringing back vintage designs must be part of the business and R&D efforts ...

Regarding the Zenith case, there are a lot of vintage designs, that they didn’t yet ... when you think of it, and see some of the new designs (open dials, defy cases, Hublot style), I pray for they bring more designs back

Loved the anime series and this is a cracker of a watch.
Why is it that Japan always gets the nice special issues? I love the Speedy Pro Racing but it was never available outside of Japan and the current prices are just way to expensive.

Well ... don’t know what to say, hahahaha... that’s risky without doubt.

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm trying to find one of these for my wife's 60th--she is fan of the original manga/anime as a kid. Why does the pic of the 1st edition watch on a person's wrist in the OP pics above show very different hands? I can't find an official Zenith pic, and see both types of hands on pre-owned when I searched. Thanks, Jim
