Hi, I have for sale an well used example of an early 70's Zenith EP Pilot/Diver. By the reference number that is visible on the caseback this one should have originally had a diver's 60min bezel. The current pilot's bezel is a service replacement. I've seen original ones on eBay for about $150 if it's something you wanted. This one has clear signs of usage: visible scratches on the crystal and case; and some dings on the lugs from sloppy bracelet/strap changes (all of which I've tried to capture in the photos). I can't say for sure whether the case is polished or unpolished. The front of the case still has the sunburst finish but if I had to guess I'd say the sides have taken a polish. Crown, pushers and hands I believe to be original. I had this watch serviced by a local watchmaker in January of 2015. He mentioned at the time that it needed a new stem. You can feel that it has a hard time grabbing the gears to change the time but it still works. If you've never seen one of these in person, just know it is quite large for a vintage watch. The case measures 44mm across (excl. crown), about 45mm from lug to lug, and it about 14mm thick. Lug width is 22mm. If Felix Baumgartner were to have jumped from the edge of Earth in 1972, he would have worn this instead of the current Stratos. The last couple of pics are with a modern Sub so you can get a sense of sizing. I unfortunately do not have the original lobster bracelet. Watch is head only. Rossler says about 1,000 ever produced.

    Brand: Zenith
    Model: El Primero Pilot/Diver
    Ref: 01.0190.415
    Year: circa 1972

Features: Chrono, 30 min counter, hour counter, constant seconds, quickset date, automatic, hi-beat 36,000vph movement.

    Movement: cal. 3019 PHC
Service History: January 2015. Could use a new stem but functions as is.

Case: visible scratches, dings near lugs.
Dial: excellent, no visible flaws that I can see.
Hands: I believe they are original, only thing I can see is a bit of paint coming off the hour hand near the pinion. May have been touched up. Lume on the hour and min hands has degraded at a different rate.
Crown and pushers: I believe they are original, all work as they should.
Bezel: has been replaced at some point with a service version of the pilot's 12 hour bezel. Otherwise in good shape.
    Bracelet: none. Head only.
    Box and Papers: none.

Price: USD$2,900 via PayPal and includes international shipping to most countries (from Toronto, Canada) and insurance via Parcel Pro.

Pictures: I've tried to capture everything I've described but these are iPhone pics so there are limitations. I think I've captured just about every angle but let me know if you'd like to see something else.

Any questions let me know. Thanks for looking.

Ok gents. You've caught me in a temporary moment of weakness. I just bought a new toy car and I want some new suspension.

USD$2,500 shipped and insured or best offer. Or straight trade for Ohlins R&T coilovers for a S2000 (I know, long shot).

Wow!! How is this still FS? I'm so tempted.

Congrats on the S2000, you'll have to share a pic or two soon.

I'll post a few pics when I'm "done" with it. I've wanted one since I was in school and figure I'm a hair away from mid-life crisis age, why not?

Quick photo. 2007 with 60,000 km's (~37,000 miles) all stock except for an obnoxious exhaust that's getting swapped out for something less fast and less furious. Sorry garage photos only. Still winter here
    ;)
