I'm selling this striking and rare Zenith Rainbow Mango: According to Manfred Rössler only 470 pieces were made of the references 01/02.0471.400. Dial, date disc, and hands are in perfect, original condition. The crystal is flawless. The black bezel insert shows a few small dents. The untouched case is in very good condition. The screwed down crown and pushers are working perfectly. I acquired this piece without bracelet although the engraving on the back shows the reference number 02.0471.400 of the bracelet version. I've got another Mango on a bracelet with the engraving 01/02.0471.400. The correct movement Zenith El Primero cal. 400 looks very clean. The movement is running strong with rates between -4 s/d and +7 s/d at amplitudes from 226° to 279° and low beat errors. The chronograph is working smoothly and correctly. This piece comes on the yellow strap shown on the wrist above, which I searched for years. However, the watch looks also gorgeous on a black, big hole Tropic strap. The watch is located in Germany/EC. I'm inviting offers around € 3,500, payment by wire transfer, no Paypal. Cheers, Mick Please note, that the wrist shots were taken one and two years ago, respectively. The documentary photos were shot very recently.
@cicindela, thank you very much for jumping in. Your numbers are correct. The width including the crown measures 43.5mm, the height 12.7mm, lug width 20mm. Cheers, Mick
Sure, the watch has strong wrist presence in spite of the moderate size. However, I love most the very fine execution of its face: Form of the hands and needles, red tip on the chronograph seconds hand, circularly grooved registers, luminous digits and marks, mango date disc, date window with offset scale, … The watch will be on display at the Munich watch trading show on Sunday, see you … Enjoy, Mick
The existence and concentration of the Mango in the hands of OF members is intriguing. Had I not have 2 of these, i would sure be taking this one! GLWTS
I'm pretty sure that the concentration of Mangos in the OF community will not change by this transaction. Thanks for the wishes. Mick
Such a handsome beast. However a Pepsi and a 30CH plus service in rapid succession have put me out of the game.
The watch is sold to a member of this community. Thanks to Omega Forums for the place and my fellows for reading and joining in. Cheers, Mick
