I've searched the web but did not find much information about this movement. I know that 146 is Martel's movement and the HP was developed by Zenith in 60's. But this watch is said to be from 1990: http://www.zeitauktion.com/de/zenit...renuhr-27-0140-203-glasboden-klassiker-161087 Another old ebay sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZENITH-CHRO...27-0140-203-GLASBODEN-KLASSIKER-/371717712910Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Not active. How can it be? Is it a franken? I really like the movement, but I'm not sure about his watch. Is it real?
Thanks, LouS! Strange thing that the crown has no logo. I wonder if the skeleton back is original or custom made? I haven't seen any of these on any Zenith's watches beside MOM and I think those came later. This watch is the early 90's probably.
I bought it and this watch has a problem. I don't know how serious is it. See this video: The chrono won't reset properly. I wonder if I should return it to the seller or have it fixed...
That is a fixable problem. Whether you return it or not is up to you - depends on if you got it cheap enough to factor in a service an still come up with a good price, and if you like it.
Well, got it for 750$. But it needs service and new front glass and rear cover. Also the porcelain face is cracked for some reason.
For $750, if all it needed was a service, I'd keep it. However, with a cracked porcelain dial, I'd be inclined to return it. (Assuming it wasn't disclosed, of course.)
