I hadn't seen this model (I think an A271) with a blue dial before. Would anyone know if these were common, or what year(s) they were produced (seems sometime in the 60s)? Thank you- I'm assuming this isn't a redial, but I don't know... http://www.watchnet.co.jp/p-eyes/products/detail.php?product_id=3449
My money is the blue dial is real and from about 66-68. Looks to be the same dial material as a soliel speedmaster.
Dial color is fine. Whether its also a redial, you need to compare with other similar models. Doesn't look like a redial to me. For example here Caliber 146DP Another set to review, this --- https://omegaforums.net/search/6201415/?q=A271&o=date Search here on the forum (see the magnifying glass at top of the page) to find and read through what our Zenith collectors have posted Cheers
I really like the look of this watch, simple and classic. It's from the 60's. Hodinkee just released a limited edition watch which was inspired by this one (sold out in minutes). Here is a link it will give you a little more info http://www.zenith-watches.com/en_en/news/introducing-the-el-primero-limited-edition-for-hodinkee. I personally much prefer the original. Hope you buy this, GL. J
This is the model Hodinkee recently riffed on for their special edition. See this thread https://omegaforums.net/threads/zenith-and-hodinkee-together-make-sell-25-watches.46947/
Thanks everyone! The closest I had seen before was the HODINKEE version, but I had never seen a vintage in this color. I'm a bit anal about dial condition, so this was isn't for me, but I'll keep looking for another in this color with all this info, now knowing that these exist in this dial color. In addition to the color, I love these dial layouts. Happy holidays every one-
