I'm hoping that some of the Zenith experts can help me out, here. I have 2 El Primero watches - a chunky 1970's Surf and a 1993 Rainbow. I been researching Zenith boxes and am trying to figure out what style boxes these watches would have been sold with. I have seen the 1970's brown cube style boxes, such as the one below, paired up with octagonal Defy models. Were these boxes also used for El Primeros? Also, were they only sold in the Italian market, or were they used elsewhere? My 1993 Rainbow, in the photo below came in a box but I don't think it is the correct one for early 1990's El Primeros. Does anyone here know what the correct box for this reference would look like. I have seen lots of the pillow style wooden EP boxes from the 2000's but I don't think that they were used as early as 1993. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
