This time, I took an extra time to capture this beauty. It belongs to a friend, and he has also got the blue, the green, and the red (gold-plated). I personally didn't care for this model before, but I have come to love gold watches (even plated), perhaps it's an age thing...

I did not clean the watch in post-processing, so everything is as it is.
Not a bad-looking watch for a 50+ year-old.
Also, I found out from another collector (huge collector) that there is also an 18k case version, and he has one. Did it come that way from the factory... who knows.

Enjoy! And share yours if you have one!

Nice looking Monstrap leather straps.

I still am not sure what the reference number to this Autosport luxe is.
Somewhere I found these references: 20.1110.290 and A 26157. The first one definitely is about gold color case. I also don't know what the reference is for steel cases (blue, green, black dials).
Does anyone have early 1970s catalogues?

Absolutely stunning images! To get that kind of depth of field in the close-ups, do you focus stack or use some other technique?

Thanks. Focus stacking indeed. Even when shooting at f16, the quality and details cannot be compared. Stacking is a great technique. I can print these out very large.

I had been procrastinating with actually doing focus stacking and seeing your absolutely beautiful images and other materials (here and on your website) sort of finally pushed me over the hump. I ended up using Helicon Focus (and remote). Helicon remote has some kinks with Sony A7R4 that I've got when (trying) to also automatically shoot the HDR stack for a given focus (I can sort of manage it manually now, but...). But then again it works about as good as or better than every other tethered shooting app/sw I've tried with this camera. Suur Tänu!

Because A7R IV supports up to (through pixel shift, shoots 16 images for a given focus) 240.8 MP, 19008x12672 pixels capture I now also have a couple of images that would be good for billboard sized(ish) print. 😅 I'm currently using DXO Photolab for post processing, but I am considering getting LightRoom Classic again so that I have better tools to get rid of small dust etc. particles (PS has never been my thing so I think post processing-wise LRc is as fas as I'll go).

Fantastic images of an under appreciated Zenith. Well done preserving this gem in contemporary images.

Well, if you make 240mp image, and everything is in focus (without stacking it isn’t), be prepared for hours of dust cleaning 😀

Yes! It is dreadful! Not only they lurk all over the watch, but then you find dust/hair/dirt under the crystal that you never realized was there to begin with! And I should add, this makes your work even more impressive with the level of detail you achieve there! 👍
