Zenith 1940 (?) lady solid gold info and advise needed?

Hi guys,
I am wondering if I should buy this watch. This should be a little present for my wife.
The watch is stated as a 1940 but I am not sure about this. Measure 21 x 21mm and is solid gold 18k , the movement should be a zenith cal 88 http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&0&2uswk&Zenith_88_0.
The crown isn't original and it seems to be redialed.
The price is almost the price of the gold: 300 euros
What do you think?

If you think your wife will like it, I don't think the price is crazy. Not sure if there's any point in giving subjective opinions since it's only your wife's opinion that matters, so I would show her a photo. Collectible value is also pretty much irrelevant when giving a gift to one's wife IMO.
