I've recently started to go to more formal occasions and am feeling the need to get something more formal than my usual chunky chronos. I'd like to stick with a chronograph, as I like the style, and these are the two that have caught my eye. Any help from owners of either/both would be great.
The 2 come in a variety of cases and dial/hands configurations - Zenith 156s are typically housed in larger 37mm cases while the Omega 320s are usually 35mm. Both are great movements so it really boils down to yr preference for a particular look. For formal occasions, I like a slim 35mm that can fit comfortably under the cuff.
I'd go for the Zenith, but then I am pretty biased There's a really sweet 18k Cal146 gold one on the FS section right now from @sliceoftime_ https://omegaforums.net/threads/zenith-g171-gold-panda-146dp.57909/ Not the 156 you're after, but a worthy contender in my books.
Zenith for me If @khmt2 shows you his full range of Zenith dress chronos, I'm sure you'd pick Zenith too
Do factor in that both have zero water resistance due to the square pushers which aren't even dustproof. As much as I love my Cal 320 I keep it in safe deposit more often than not as its too humid and wet here to get much use.
Wow! That's really nice! Looking fwd to seeing this in the flesh! Well, I'm partial to Zenith but Omega more than holds its own.
