Zenith 146HP. It's a stunner. But what a price!

I'm a bit in the dark regarding next purchase. I'm between a couple of watches. For now I'm looking at a Zenith S.58, a rolex 5513 or 60's heuer autavia. But this can change. I saw this black beauty. What a stunner! Although I dont know these a quick search told me it looks ok. But maybe I'm wrong. 😁. But that price... 5,7k. That's firm! I would say this is a 3k - 3.5k watch. Or am I beeing cheap?

What's the asking currency? Does the seller happen to be in Italy?

At this price level, let's nitpick?

the pushers, hmmm 😒 what's up in this area:

Overall well used case but bright pusher, maybe missing the metal gasket? Lighting artifact? Dirt? Wrong pusher ? I can't know.

The dial looks heavily oxidized.

In short, not a watch I would buy on pictures only, I'd like to see it in the flesh.

I can’t help you with pricing, but I think it’s a stunner. Giving off some M95 vibes, this reference is now on my radar!

Edit: I didn’t look closely at the second picture. Dial condition leaves something to be desired.

Zenith supplied these watches with minute hands that don't actually reach the minute track? 😒

Seems a bit odd to me, but I'm no expert on the model.

I think it's a spectecular watch. But somehow I would'nt spend almost 6k on it.

Pushers and crown are totally different on this second one, no?
Yes. There are some differences. I would say the crown on the ebay example is not original to the watch. Pushers I dont know.

On the second one they are old (brassed a little). On the first they look new, and badly fitted but on pictures it is difficult to be certain.

FYI, finding and properly fitting a correct looking set of pushers on a low production watch from 60 years ago is a nice can of worms...

So my eur 3000-3500 is'nt that strange.

I'd say the Zenith has way more prestige and therefore a higher pricetag .....it's a bit like the difference between a Skoda and a VW....what's under the hood don't count!

This. All things being equal, Zenith will fetch a hefty premium over ... what was that other brand again? 😒
