I'm pretty new here and have been bitten by the Omega bug. After referencing speedmaster101 this looks like a legit 1970. I'd like a straight writing Speedmaster and would really appreciate your thoughts on this one. Is there anything that stands out as a "deal breaker"? I look forward to your expert opinions. Thanks in advance. image.jpeg image.png image.png image.jpeg

I like the slightly faded/grey bezel.

Looks legit and honest to me. The bracelet looks nice too, even if not much is shown of it.

    What´s the asking?

The 31 serial is absolutely fine for a 145.022.

The bright white hand is distracting. I thought it might be possible to source a more similar replacement.

. $4500. That does sound a bit steep.

I just have the picture to reference. The third digit looks like possibly a 6. Of course, without my reading glasses everything looks like a 6 or 8.

Thank you for all the input so far. So does anyone see any Franken' characteristics to this watch?

Do you know how the logo is on the bracelet?

Thanks. I was under the impression this case back was exclusive to 1970 models. Do you believe it's a replacement?

Bracelet looks period correct with the applied logo on the clasp.

Bracelet appears to be a 1175 which was OEM for a 145.022-69. Everything appears A OK to me. Good luck.

I really like the color overall of this watch. As Gemini says above, it correctly has 145.022-69 stamped on the caseback. It also has the correct writing on the back with the flat top A on the outside inscription. The blue color on the bezel is pretty cool and the patina on the hands and the dial goes together very well, except for that small second hand. Perhaps you could find someone to age it for you? The price of $4.5k is just a touch high but not completely unrealistic in today's market. Good luck.

Serial number is in the correct range for these - they were made through 1971 I believe, but don't have my copy of MWO on me right now - and the bracelet is worth a small bit on its own - I'd say if you could bring him down to 4 you'd do OK on this. Pretty good-looking watch IMO

Don't think so. It's an original 1171 with 633 endlinks, also correct for a 145.022-69.
