If you could purchase only 4 watches from Rolex and Omega in your entire life and you had to purchase them new TODAY at an AD with a total budget of $30,000. Let’s pretend everything was available at MSRP.

What would you pick (be careful not to go over budget)?

    Here is my selection:

    Total: $28,750

EDITED - to follow the rules

OK, I'll play. I prefer vintage watches, so this was a challenge. The DeVille is for the wife, can't leave her out (even if she is not that into watches).

    I would go with these:

Rolex Explorer II (Polar) - $8,350
    Rolex Explorer.JPG

    Rolex Sub - $7,900
    Rolex Sub.JPG

    Omega Globemaster (Blue) - $7,200

    Omega Globemaster.png

And an Omega Speedmaster (I would have enough to get either the Hesalite or the Sapphire Sandwich) - $5,350 - $6,350

    Omega Speedy.png

    Grand Total: $28,800 - $29,800

PS. While working this list, the Ed White price was not available in my region... I would possibly rework the list to accommodate that speedy.

I would get a black and a white Daytona and the rest would be filler.

I'd go for a pepsi, a panda daytona, an AT 41 with a blue dial and a filler

Absolutely the only modern watches from either brand I would really want to own. It looks like the Globemaster is $6,900 and the price of the Milgauss is $8,300.

Throw them in the garbage and then this specimen 1966 Vintage Rolex Submariner 5513 Gilt Tropical Dial $27,550. Gotta follow the rules for the theoretical group of 4

Selecting from the contemporary Rolex and Omega catalogues, I would go all Omega!

    Speedmaster Calibre 321: $14100
    Omega Deville Tresor: $6500
    Diver 300M 007 Edition: $9200
    TOTAL: $29800
