Let's say someone has a speedy pro 42mm and aqua terra anti mag. Would would be the end of a good trilogy?

    the speedmaster 57?

    a PO size 42 or 45?

or the Speedy date 9300 that looks almost identical to the speedy pro 42mm hesalite?

I know this is borderline annoying but I wan something that will last a long time thanks a lot.

If anyone ever puts together a Philadelphia meeting I would attend 100%

If you already have a Speedmaster, another one won't make a balanced trilogy. You have the sport watch (Speedy), you have a casual watch (AT), so you need a dressier watch - maybe from the Museum Collection or DeVille line, or a little less formal with an Hour Vision.

I second Dennis' recommendation of the Hour Vision - The HV "Blue" is a watch that has to be seen in person to fully appreciate its beauty as the dial really radiates and the watch just sits incredibly well on the wrist. Also, the see through case is awesome and very different - a true conversation piece.

to me, you miss a diver.
PO is a great choice, i recently bought the PO GMT (i bought it in black since i missed a black watch and it fits with everything) but i would suggest the goodplanet edition in blue and orange.
    or a non GMT.

I second the dive watch option. You need something waterproof for vacations or beach days or laying cement.

assuming everyone has finished groaning... let's get back to Charlie's initial question..

I honestly think that a diver wouldn't really add much here...I think that he needs a dress watch...

Hour vision silver dial with black strap could be a 'Guy's' dress watch (Clooney in Up in the Air, or on the red Carpet)...or go all in on a thin deVille prestige...

either of your watches could go with a suit...neither could fit a tuxedo or formal event...

But what it comes down to is the effect on the wrist... I always look at my collection as each watch playing a Role...when too many could play the same part, then there's a need for diversity...

It's true that the Speedmaster and Seamaster are very different watches...but if they provide the same effect on the wrist, then it's a superfluous addition...

I turned down the DSOM because it didn't 'do anything for me' that my 45mm 8500PO on rubber wasn't already doing ( eg - thick, black, sporty ) ...sometimes you have to check your WIS brain at the door... ( now that my collection is officially out of control, I am better at doing this...)

Doesn't the Aqua Terra qualify as a dressy watch? Having said that, the Hour Vision would be a really nice choice. But I also second the vote for the GoodPlanet GMT. I've got that one myself, and love it.

Basically, with the two listed watches as a great duo, any additional watch from a different line (i.e., regurgitating the previous comment to not repeat with another speedy or AT) seems like the way to go if the goal is a nice trio.

42mm PO. Even better if you get the Liquid Metal.

You should get a PO Good Planet, 42mm. Its a sporty watch that goes well with a traditional SM and the Aqua Terra.
