What do you think of this one? I really would like the dagger shape hands. Should I go for it or pass? The dial just looks to good to be legit? Thx!
This one reminds me of something the Jed Clampett used to say about his nephew Jethro..."There's something not quite right about that boy." The caseback indicates that the case should be gold plated or filled (Carrure Lunette Plaque Or G), yet I don't see any gold plating anywhere. Here's the listing for case reference 2933 from the Omega Vintage Database: http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/history/vintage-omegas/vintage-watches-database?ref=15113 The case looks totally different. The movement looks correct, but I haven't a clue on the dial. Unless you really like the look and it's very cheap, I'd pass. gatorcpa
Had the same doubts as you about the gold plating. The seller says : "rebuilt" .He also states that the case diameter is 39mm, a generous one I should say. I just think that the gold plating was just grinded off because it was in bad shape and then the case polished...what a pitty! And yes, the price is good, arrownd 100 euros.
For $135, I'd grab it, so long as it was in running condition and it wasn't missing the bezel. The movement and dial are worth more than that. I have some doubts on the bezel from the photos. gatorcpa
