Your Experience with the 7912 Bracelet

Seeking experiences / opinions on the 7912. I've never handled or worn one, so I'm flying blind. I'm curious what your experience is, especially with regard to comfort and durability. Are these as fragile as they look?

Aesthetically, I'm not sure the rounded spring links next to the folded links is a particularly great look,...but maybe charming in a quirky way? I'm guessing this isn't as noticeable on the wrist as it is in photos.

Then there is the matter of how difficult these are to track down in good condition and at a decent price. Unless I'm mistaken, this one doesn't even include end links. Which would be even more difficult to find for a 105.003-65?

Lastly, are there other credible and non-aftermarket options from OMEGA – in steel – for the 105.003-65?

Haven't tried on a 7912. But the 7077 and 1039 aren't very comfortable (personal opinion)

I personally really like the look and feel of the 7912. Its light and has a low profile on the wrist. If its been properly maintained also very reliable.

Mind the imposter on the right.

IMHO, the early Omega Master bracelets (7077, 7912, 1506, 1039, 1035) are comfortable, light and durable. Compared to modern brackets, they are much lighter in weight and give the unfounded appearance of lacking durability. Quite the contrary. In fact, NASA required astronauts to wear other bracelets, i.e. JB Champions, because the Omega bracelets, in an emergency, would not breakaway if snagged in space.

Regarding the ebay seller OP listed above, he has nice items listed at double market prices.
Perhaps he should change his ebay name from Speed_Meister to Stupid_Money.😝

I like them a lot. Very comfortable and easy to wear.

As for alternatives, 1125/617 or 1125/560.

I personally find the stretch link bracelets to be comfortable and far superior to their modern counterparts in that regard as well as weight and style

I too find the 7912 (and the 1039) to be very comfortable and light. Haven't worn them for that long yet but I believe they are durable too as mentioned above. Love the looks as well.

I’m a fan of the old folded link 7836 Oyster from Rolex, which also has a low profile. I find it extremely comfortable.

How difficult is it to land a 7912 with end links, and which EL’s would one need?

Any other credible options from OMEGA in steel for the 105.003-65, ...or is a 7912 the only real option?

Very sorry, but my copy of MWO is currently propping up a TV console. 🙁 ...Long story!

You need the number 6 end links. These are very difficult to find.

Another bracelet that would be correct for the 105.003-65 is the 1035 with 6 or 506 end links.

+1 on comfort and durability. In my experience with a few 7912s and some other flat links, I never have any issue. Of course, I'm talking about generally good condition bracelets.

Gemini4 nailed it. The Ebay example should have the ends for that price, IMO.

Just to be certain I am not restoring a bracelet based on a typo in MWO ...the 7912 should feature a brushed center and polished sides, no? Including the clasp. (Better safe than sorry!)
