·Had phone call to receive a BLRO few days ago. A thoughtful present organised by my wife in conjunction with my AD.
Amazing watch and wearing it this weekend while visiting family in Oban. Pop into a tiny wee sweetie shop and I'm served by an lovely old gentleman. As he serves me I notice a well worn and loved Pepsi on his wrist.
Obviously got chatting and he tells me he bought it new 34 years ago while holidaying in the Caymans. The only watch he has on his wrist since then.
Of course I hassled him for a photo!... He was nice enough to oblige though seemed somewhat bemused.... Unfortunately didn't manage to get many other shots.
This is how a watch should be worn. What a lifetime of history and experience his watch must have had.
He wasn't a watch guy at all. Just said he wanted 'one good watch'
Hopefully, I'll last as long as he has and my watch will be able to tell its own story one day
