You probably already own a smartphone macro lens (and didn't know it)

    Loupe + Stickytape = Macro !

    The results are surprisingly good.

Of course, with such high pixel counts in the latest smartphones you can get plenty of Zoom just by cropping your images and save the trouble of dealing with a macro lens. But this setup gives you a depth-of-field that is artistically pleasing, and you get a waaay cool Through-the-Loupe vignette effect at no extra cost!

    Give it a try -- I think you'll be pleased, too :)

This image shows the resulting vignette a little better (your results may vary)

I used to have a 10x aplanatic gemmologists eye loupe. Less distortion than a typical loupe. I wonder how that would work? Wish I still had it!

No, that's barrel distortion from the lens ;) Vignette is loss of clarity/light towards the corners of an image.

Did not know that "olloclip" devices. I have been messing with my Loupesystem (which is in fact great as a loupe) but is quite expensive and has not solved properly how to attach to my iphone (you must use an integral case, which I do not like).
