Snapped a few quick shots of the new AT today.










As soon as I get better light I'll get some more of the dial. Then comes pics of the 8500.

You'd be amazed how much the color can change in different light and at different angles. Man, I thought the IWC Portofino had some nice sunburst effect, but this is the best blue dial I've ever seen. The little extra depth because of the ribbed / teak effect really makes it pop.

That's truly a lovely watch Dennis. I had my eye on the previous generation with the white dial/rose gold marker combo but they are really hard to find now. Shoulda gone brand new when I had the chance

 

I think the first watch using this type of ribbed dial for lighting effect is Patek Philippe Nautilus. Omega do wonderful job too in this Aqua Terra.

 

I will own one, some day. . .

I meant the timekeeping of the watch but Steve's commentary is arguably equal.

 

Half the time I'm on the forums I'm at work. When I'm online at home she's either at work (night shift), sleeping, or in another online class.

Besides, she's got her own little vintage Omega collection now. 3 total - the De Ville from parts, the one I bought from Kyle and the white waffle from Mike.
