Those aren't 'close calls' -- they are simply motivation to pay attention, look ahead, and always know what your options are 😎

Too many times and usually involving large tractor trailers.

Pfffft......you Americans and your little tractor trucks.
😉

Try the Aussie motor cyclists version of events towards the end of this fiasco.

Ute towing caravan attempts overtaking a road train, motor cyclists coming in the oncoming direction.

I think they would both have needed clean underwear.

Better video without the news.

Does just off the highway count? I was on a motorcycle wearing one-piece leathers and waterproofs on top. Needed petrol and a pee. Stopped and as it's a fiddly job gaining access through that lot for a pee I filled the tank first. Big mistake 🙁

I hate idiot drivers at street-light, playing with their phones. They are guaranteed everyone behind them to NOT GO, when the light turned green. These days, that’s every god damn light.

I used to avoid elderly drivers. I now despite young drivers and everyone in between. I feel like rolling down my windows and scream “Drive! you MF. Drive”
My kids don’t like me calling them MF’ers.

33 years, with several of them as a patrol sergeant… sadly, I stopped counting at 150 fatalities. I was never assigned to traffic enforcement, but the supervisor (me) was required to attend and confirm each one prior to calling in the experts…

Ha, didn’t realize this was still going. I wrote it the day after I was on a U.S. interstate and had someone coming at me the wrong way in a cement divided highway. The car in front of me moved nonchalantly into the right hand land. They had limo tinted rear windows so I couldn’t see past him.

By the time I made out the car coming at me I had under a second to react. I couldn’t help but think what if I had been glancing at my watch or radio.

Like @Duracuir1 fine leather goods stated my uncle was a Boston firefighter. He put in his twenty years and would have stayed on but he removed too many bodies from cars it was messing with his head. Oddly, there was a big story about his crew responding to a fatal accident where a girl went off course, her car ended up in a cemetery landing on a tombstone that just happened to be the same name (carved on the headstone) as was the deceased driver. I think it made ripleys believe it or not. True story as bizarre as it sounds.

Had a close call in traffic one day on a work commute. Some traveling nurse ran into my bumper because she wasn't paying attention. No big deal, the issue was that I ALMOST rode my motorcycle that day. A small bump from a car to the bike would have been more of a close call, so thanks for that universe!

That right there was the problem. If the divider had been made of concrete it should have kept the car from crossing over. But just cement is not going to stop a car.

Actually I didn’t take a sample but I’m pretty sure the idiot used an exit ramp as a entrance ramp I just don’t get how they can stay in the left lane doing 70 not noticing they have a bunch of obstacles coming at them. Well actually I do usually it’s strong inebriation

Monday. fυcking idiot driving a jeep (one that is unlikely to ever see anything but pavement) nearly merged into me, oblivious to my horn blaring. Her lane was ending and if I hadn't been paying attention and had a clear lane on the other side to move into she would have taken the side of my car off. Finally making eye contact she incredulously glared at me like it was my fault.

Pay attention and drive like everyone else is a clueless moron.

I don’t care what anyone says. Men ARE better drivers than women generally. I have yet to see a man putting on makeup while chatting on a cell phone at 75 mph.
