I acquired this piece a while back. I found it weird that the lume looks different between the markers and hands, but i have seen other pieces where this happens too. Would just like your thoughts and expertise on it. Also I'm pretty sure the crown is replaced. I am going to try and add a shot of the movement as soon as possible.

I think it looks okay. The hands look original. I believe the crown is original as well. The minute counter is mounted upside down however....Seems a common mistake by watchmakers. What movement? Valjoux 7733?

Curious......I noticed it’s “SWISS EB” vs. “FRANCE” at the bottom of the dial. I assume this means “ebauche” and indicates a basic Swiss movement used. I am looking to see if this marking was for sales in Europe outside of France. I am not sure. I have not seen on a Yachtingraf before, but have asked some more knowledgeable enthusiasts.

It's a great piece and very desirable. Congrats. I have the U.S. version (LeJour) by Yema. Mine is 1966 with Valjoux 7730.

 

Oh the crown is original cool. Yeah regarding the minute counter, i keep seeing it differently on various pieces and i got confused. So thanks for finally clearing that up. If i remember correctly, it is a movement 7733. Awesome Lejour too btw

Off topic, but I have to ask where did you find that strap?

 

Always really liked these too, especially the first version with the Val. 92 movement. The closest I ever got was a loose dial from a water-damaged Regatta , and now prices for these are pretty much out of reach.
