    Original!

    Special edition of 1974.

    It’s worth around 30M usd.

    Yes, I’m being ironic.
    Stay away from this watch.

Thanks for the clear advice Alberto.

What's your reasoning? - I'm keen to learn!

The dial is not original. To the best of my knowledge omega never made a seamaster 600 so bling bling.

    It should look like this

    FA47E85A-B28B-4E1B-A051-5881F0053440.png

    Also.

The movement looks a bit dirty to me, and there are some black shades on the side (maybe humidity?).

The price (400gbp) is totally not in line with what is offered.

A suggestion: I have been there. I wanted a nice vintage watch, looking good. But first I had to get some knowledge (this forum is great) and then I had to accept compromises due to budget.

This forum has also a sellers corner. It’s plenty of gentlemen selling their watches and what you buy 99% of Times Is 100% original.

No nastiest apart from the reprinted fantasy dial and hugely polished case.

Hi Alberto - message received and understood and many thanks for taking the time to enlighten me

It has been some weeks now that I have been on the hunt - it's a steep learning curve but lesson one seems toi be that 99% of what is on offer on ebay is over-polished under-maintained rubbish.

Let's take a look at the sellers corner - wish me luck...

"DIAL Professionally redial" - per the seller.

Then he also says: "This is a beautiful condition Omega Seamaster rare dial watch".

    I would also add “overpriced”.

We have a funny thread about this.

Don’t worry, it will take some time. I started getting into mechanical watches almost 3 years ago.

I bought some, sold some, kept some in my collection.

It’s a process also because your tastes might changes as you progress. So after some months you might find out that this flashy omega would never be on your wishlist.

    Take care

    Alberto

Just buy the real deal. You can find many original 600's in beautiful condition...

Many thanks to all for sound advice - especially regarding the sellers forum. Some real beauts there.

I'm currently in discussion regarding a sweet '63 Pie Pan Constellation w/ box & papers - you've maybe seen it.

    Fingers crossed...
