Yah or Nay? Modified 14k GF bracelet on 14k 321 Dress Chronograph

Modified an existing No. 12 GF 14K bracelet and lugs to see if it would fit my 105.004 14k 321 non-speedy dress chronograph. I didn't think a GF beads of rice would look too good since most are faded and won't pay for a solid 14k bracelet. What do you think? Does this go together and "modernize" my non-speedy 321? The lugs fit the curveture of this watch and the width is correct to the lug length.

Something looks off, I’m not quite sure what it is, maybe that the lugs are so thin and that the flat link is so broad? But kudos for experimenting!

The end links on these gold filled bracelets can chew up solid gold cases so I’d be more inclined to go with a strap

True. At first I didn't think much of it since the end links were not touching the case near the points, but then I realized the back side of the end links might chew up the back side of the lugs like old Speedies.

IMO it downgrades the look of the 14k watch. I would go with leather for sure. Personal preference of course.
That watch is gorgeous

It is easier to match the bracelet and mesh to the steel Seamaster 105.004-64

Definitely a bit of a mismatch. I’m a bracelet guy traditionally so any chance I can put these on bracelet i go for it. I’d stick to a strap on this one.

I don't see a problem with it if you find it appealing.

It does nothing for me, a leather strap if it was my watch. But it's your watch.

Nay. A gold chrono needs to be on a leather strap.

Something looks off to me. I'd need to see it in better lighting, but I'd vote strap based on those pics.

Cool watch!

Above personal preference of leather strap for gold case, potential damage of the gold case from the bracelet I think would be enough to dissuade me from the bracelet
