Saw it on a Watchfinder & Co. video and fell in love with this piece. I’d hope to find one in as pristine condition as this so I can make a financially irresponsible move, wondering if anyone knew.

It's not in pristine condition, it's polished to death and has a badly refinished dial.

I can't imagine the Watchfinder guys selling a piece with a "badly refinished dial". I guess maybe you just know something I don't?

If they are selling that particular watch, then that is exactly what they are doing :)

With that bad face lift, I think nobody can tell. You should ask Watchfinder directly.

Sorry but I am terrified. A very bad refurbished dial, far away from an original one.
My vote is for a cal 30T2.
    P. S. Impossible to appreciate the edge of the lugs, case polished, sorry again.

If by "badly" refinished, you mean the dial is not authentic, then I concur. However, having seen what some demented sharpy-wielders have done to dials, this is far from the worst. Who knows what condition the dial was in before being redone, but to my eyes, the result, while unoriginal, at least from the pictures seems to have been done with a modicum of skill.

This watch is from forties. Logo not original to that era and the sub second circle has lost the "vynil brands"

I don't question the deficiencies in authenticity, what I do try to gently propose is that, authentic/original or not, if the work is done with reasonable skill, the result may be a watch that is aesthetically acceptable to a certain type of owner. Maybe just not a "collector" who insists on complete originality. What I don't however condone is anyone knowingly passing off a refurbished dial/hands etc as original.
