Perusing the catalogue for the upcoming Fellows watch sale, and came across this... er... beauty?

    Screen Shot 2017-10-12 at 12.16.40.png

    Link

It's listed as having serial number: 80826808, and I've found a mention on watchfinder that this is a reference 2806.77.40.

    I have questions...

    Is this thing for real?

How and why were these made?

    For what market?

Is there any way I can unsee this thing? ;)

IIRC, they are (luckily?) a rather limited production and due to the dial material there are quite big differences in how they look.

    Not my taste :)

This is the outcome when a regular Railmaster had Sex (or is that then called "was Banged", not sure..) with an Hublot.

I thought you had 4 of these? One for each wrist, and each ankle? :D

    Serial number: 80826808
    Article ref: 28067740
    Version of movement: 2201

Special edition Railmaster, so not likely that many were made. But coloured MOP dials are nothing new - lot's of brands use them. Even my wife's Sinn 456 has a blue MOP dial...

BTW a replacement dial for that Railmaster is $25k+...

Thanks for checking Al... it's... special for sure. ;)

Pretty and understated, versus the diamond bling XXL railmaster. :D

Out of all the Omega watches I've seen, this would be the last one I'd want.

    Serious?

I guess we should cancel that gift we'd all clubbed together to get you. ;)

Here is a better pic. I could wear this instead of a speedy, at least the ones below.

From Omega's "Let's see what happens when you drop acid and design watches" range. :whistling:

Why not with watches? It's obviously been done with car styling designs on a few occasions.

I'd have more fun driving one of these on a Sunday afternoon than I'd ever have wearing that watch!

Those were the days they build real cars. And watches likewise.

At least in 20 years, or so, no one will ask if the dial has been repainted.
    ;) :D
