    As I suspected, not an easy fix. That is interesting though, it sounds like they are treating the Ti clasp as a precious metal item, I think they offer an exchange like that on gold, plat etc items but AFAIK there is no meaningful intrinsic value to scrap titanium so I wonder why they do it that way. Might as well exchange it, there is no point keeping a broken clasp.

    agree and I did swop - i have enough unusable stuff in my spares box- I found it interesting that they had an exchange price, I was wondering if it was a way to take more control of supply channel.

    the value on swap ascribed to the broken part was above what it would be worth on the used market (given it was broken)
