Took me some time to find one, but got it finally. Can't wait to see it in flesh. Anybody around with one?
“Unbreakable”? Would such hyperbole be permitted on the face of wrist watches today? Unbreakable what? Mainspring? Even those will break. I strongly enourage you to not believe “unbreakable”.
“Unbreakable is less misleading than waterproof”. Not to my way of thinking. It is the equivalent of saying “breakproof”!
Looks like it says “in casserole” to me! Nice looking watch - wear it in good health. @abrahamovic is this a rare piece?
@WYO_Watch indeed it is: one of wylers most precious and antique watches - the "Cricchettino", one of the first self-winding watches, dating back to 1932. The model is rectangular with a double case whose hinged bottom presses, with the movements of the wrist, a small button that activates the charge of the watch. The movement is a Wyler Vetta caliber, the escapement is of the anchor type, 17 jewels, shock-absorbing two-arm bimetallic balance arm Wyler Incaflex. and incaflex system does not need introduction i think.
it refers to incaflex system. wyler came with the development of the Incaflex system in 1927. It was an innovative balance wheel design with two curved elastic arms which would assist with shock absorbance to the balance wheel.
thank you. not sure, a watch is on the way to meet me - its new owner. will share more pictures later. tomas.
