·Bought this off eBay last month. It finely arrived today. This is from 1941 from the date mark even has the base name it was used at. It has an 8-day movement, and the case is made out of Bakelite.
Issue marks inside of case and the arrow mark on the dial.
For comparison an RAF Elliott mantle clock next to the Smiths due to material being hard to get in WW2 you can see the change in clocks from a wood case with fusee movement to a Bakelite case and a less technical none fusee movement.
