    Can't really tell the age of it but I'm assuming it's sometime around WW1. All I know is that the case is, supposedly, gold. Crown is a replacement I guess... Serial number is made up of 7 numbers and the first one is a 3 I think which means it's from that period give or take a year.

    Serial number dates the watch to WWI era. However, I don't think the case is original to the movement. Could be a WWI recase, or could be from as late as the 1930's. No way to know for sure.

    It is possible to have a skilled watchmaker who specializes in porcelain dial restorations clean the dial so the the cracks are less noticeable. Get some proper hands and this could be a looker.

    It's not mine, at least not yet, so that's why I wanted to know more... Indeed I haven't found one with this case so far, all had smaller lug width and/or were round.
