How can one defend himself from this type of crap? Should I?
Don't know s**t about Shakespeare but I think the quote is "Methinks thou doth protest too much", meaning that if you react too much, you're covering something!
Ignoring idiots is the best way to underscore their insignificance. My late step-dad used to say "don't worry about what the nitwits think".

I would love to see our members here be totally oblivious to some of the s**t disturbers, the blowhards, the confrontational and the mean spirited. Engaging them only elevates, so let's keep to our spirit and to our enjoyment.
They'll move on or wither.

The image of Shakespeare that is most recognised was first printed long after his death, so no one really knows what he looked like, just what they think he might of looked like. There are 6 different known examples of his signature and each one is spelt differently but none are spelt in the way that is written today.
His local pub, the George Inn still stands today in Shoreditch, London,is also the setting for the start of the book Canterbury Tales. What was the pub next door, was run by a man who had two sons, one buggered off to America and he did quite well. He established the library for what eventually became a small town university by the name of Yale.
