To complete my post about the B&M, I also wanted to share this small vintage IWC I found.

Inside the caseback it’s only marked with 694694, which I assume is a case number rather than a reference, as Google mostly sends me to the Kriegsmarine “IWC 694” pocket watch - which this clearly isn’t 😂

Does anyone have any further info? AI suggested it was produced around 1917/18 - no idea if that’s accurate. And am I right - this has basically zero horological value beyond scrap gold as well? 🥲🤣😅

It’s nice. It may have been a small pendant or pocket watch. The lugs may have been attached (like implants) to convert the watch for wrist wear. Before that, these smaller, and some large pocket watches were used on leather wristlets.



Some were used during the war because of their smaller size.

Here is a similar one that I have owned in the past.
