Wtb: Original Omega Bumper Automatic

For my second Omega purchase, I would like to find an all-original (no redial) watch with a bumper movement. That's really the only criteria; I'm open to various models, colors, etc.

Hi AJ. Welcome to Omega Forums. How about just a few parameters like case metal and a ballpark price?

Of course your post begs the question "What was your first Omega purchase?".

Thanks, probably stainless (because of budget). I am honestly not sure what a reasonable amount is to expect to pay, I don't want to use ebay for comps because I can't tell the real thing from the redials... Would around $500 be in the ball park?

My first Omega was recently purchased; a 1969 Seamaster day date, with black redial. reference 166.032, caliber 750 movement with serial number 28047826

It needs servicing, a crystal, and the case could use some TLC. I think I got it for a decent price, and will be getting it serviced soon.

I have a number of manual wind Hamiltons, usually purchasing them not working and servicing them myself to get them back into running order and cleaning them up a bit. I have not tried my hand at automatics or complications, so I won't be tinkering with the Omegas..

Even though it's a redial, it looks okay. I'd like to see the font of Seamaster under those hands, but it's a solid watch with a good caliber.

I think you'll find a decent bumper in your range. While $500 isn't going to get you a Constellation 354, it will get you a variety of 351 powered 50's Omegas.

Thanks, I have a hard time getting good pics with my phone, here's another:

So I think I've narrowed it down a bit; I'd like stainless with either a sub-seconds dial or a textured dial (any color). Budget may be a little flexible, but not very. Thanks!

Budget might be more flexible than I thought, maybe up to $750 or so... Let me know if you have anything!
