·When I picked up this very inexpensive seiko 5 I actually kinda liked the strap it was a canvas type (don’t think I’m using the right name) of thing but dummy me got the band wet and when it dried it was just never comfortable. Anyway I picked up this kinda alligator strap for my IWC restoration project but didn’t like how it wore, picked up a nicer strap for the IWC and yesterday it dawned on me to put my quasi alligator strap on my, well I think it may be the cheapest automatic seiko you can get. Anyway it’s really a decent watch and although most my collection is modest it’s nice to have a few things you don’t have to worry about so I’m diggin this now. I think the lug to lug being bigger on the seiko 5 made the strap fit better as it was uncomfortable on the vintage IWC
