Is this your watch for Friday ?

There's about as much chance of me wearing that as there is of Taylor Swift. 馃榿

The guy I bought my Pie-Pan off had about 20 Omega vintage Constellations, and no joke, almost an entire garbage bag of vintage Bulovas mixed between Accutrons and automatics. Guy had turned from watches to militaria and was trading all his timepieces for WW2 junk.

Whatever floats your boat.

Was going to wear the Corum until the VC nixed that idea.

I still find myself staring at this watch dozens of times during the day. 馃槵 Don't know if that feeling will ever end.

No, that one is my '54 18ct caliber 354. We debated using gatorcpa's non-date 551 version of this watch since it was a cleaner look and the "it's too tough to read" fogies wouldn't have a complaint but in the end the all gold dial was the favorite. The Centenary was a finalist too, but that was out voted 2 to 1.

I think Dennis should wear an un-ironed, wrinkled shirt and roughed up G-Shock for casual Friday 馃槑

That's interesting, I've never seen a constellation medallion with bricks on the observatory.

The solid gold examples of the 168.005 (caliber 564 with date) and 167.005 (caliber 551 without date), along with several other references, had the bricks. The .005 I wore yesterday has them, shown here with a 168.015 dome dial in ss:

and the 2799 caliber 354 in the H vs O contest has them too:

Do the stars have any reference ?. I've noticed on both watches there are 8 stars but in different formation.

That's the first time I've noticed that. The 4 on the left are in a different pattern - the same on the solid gold versions. The 4 on the right are very similar, just a hair's change of location on the 4th from left.

Wearing this thing on a strap today, timing is MUCH better than I had expected, for the first few days it was off by minutes every hour, now I reset it yesterday afternoon at about 5PM and 18 hours later its at +5 seconds, not bad at all.

Also took off that horrid bracelet (had to literally cut it off as the springbars had completely solidified with corrosion) and put it on some black gator, sadly with a steel buckle, but still 100% better than the 70s stretch band.
