    Just discovered this book.
Rocket Men: The Daring Odyssey of Apollo 8 and the Astronauts Who Made Man's First Journey to the Moon
    by Robert Kurson.

I have been a space-nut since I was a kid and I have always had an affinity for the Apollo 8 mission. I think it takes a back place in most people's minds given Apollo 11, Apollo 13, and the Space Shuttle disasters. Maybe this book will give it its due! (Tom Hanks, are you listening?)

(Just to establish my Rocket Man bonafides, from my basement:)

Or, in classic Rocky & Bullwinkle alternate style: "The Search function prevents multiple duplicate threads".

Exceptional times deserve exceptional reading...dusted off some of my childhood (and adulthood) reading. I actually learned how to write and read French with the help of my childhood hero! image.jpg
Had to add this nightmarish scene!

The story of a man in Italy around and after WWII and his Omega pocket watch. Too early into it for a review. 692D55FA-CDF4-4FAD-A486-B5A946A8EF77.jpeg
