This has been mystifying me for a while (and I couldn't find any other threads on the forum on this topic).

I started passively noticing this about a year ago, when for a while I wasn't wearing this watch every day, so there were a bunch of times it would wind down. But recently I've done more intentional experiments, like letting it wind down with the crown down, with 12 o'clock up, etc.

95% of the time or greater, the watch will wind down and the second hand with come to rest at or near the 9 o'clock marker.

Does anyone have any idea how or why this is so?
