Well, I did. Of course it´s like buying a lottery ticket, but I think I have a fair chance this time, that this is a winner! Do you see what it is (besides the obvious of course )?
We'll you might have to replace the movement...... but it I agree in principle. I like "barn finds" i believe it is a 105.012 so yes. I would bid.
I would have bid, but I don't know how aggressively. The suggestion of rust frightens and confuses me, esp. dial-side (7 and 8 o'clock markers, & to the upper right of the omega logo)
if around $ 2000, yes. over $ 2300 = no. rust could be a big issue here......you see it rarely on the dial and if you do, it is always bad.good luck ! kind regards. achim
This watch has lived its life in Sweden. Rust is very seldom a factor in play in watches from here. @Achim: almost ANY 321 Speedy easily fetches USD 3000 on auction in Sweden, so no, it was not a price bargain...
"Do you see what it is (besides the obvious of course )? ...like buying a lottery ticket" so are you going to reveal "what it is" ?
Ha, ha! I don´t know, since I haven´t got it yet. But I hope it to be a 105.012-64, a fairly rare and transitional reference. I also hope that it´ll renovate nicely. Will post again when it´s done.
At the moment the market will pay: 600 for the case, 1500 for the movement, and 500-700 for the dial. so it all depends on the state of the movement. And of course the dial, which looks ok but may be hiding some scars under that crystal!!
pitpro: you were completely right, 105.012-65 it was. Even if I was hoping for -64, a 65 will do nicely too, especially as the condition is great. The only flaw is that the horse on the back has worn down. Besides that it´s in great shape.
So you're tellin me that this watch from the original post….. ….. is the same watch as your last post?:
