I'm considering this flip. Would wear it mostly with khakis and button down shirts.

I would, but you obviously have to decide for yourself.

Both watches are easily available, so if you make a mistake, easy (but not free) to correct.

I would, but I'm weirdly immune to the allure of the PO.

My only concern for you is the size. It's flattee bigger unlike the PO 9300 which sits higher. But after playing a lot of yes / no games I would. SuperDoc posted that his watchmaker said the 9300 movement is equal or better than rolex. Now I could be misquoting but it was something of superiority. Which 9300 the black speedmaster professional looking one with the date at the 6 o'clock?

Yes. The Speedmaster 9300 with the date at the bottom. I would be flipping my 42mm PO with the 8500 movement.

if your your po is stainless that is a good deal. If it's liquid metal its a fair trade too even/Stephen. I would do it. Both in house si14

No, go for the Speedmaster professional. And consider your lifestyle, do you need water resistance? If you do, you know the answer.

Nope for me too. For Speedmaster 9300 I would aim for Dark Side or Grey Side of the Moon. Yes you may have to save longer, but it will really feel special.

    Yes.

The 9300 Speedmaster is some of the best of everything Omega has to offer on a watch
    - In-House movement
    - Enamel bezel
    - Full-size but balanced weight

    I have owned both a 42mm PO 2500d, 8500 and currently a Speedmaster 3570.50.

To give you a different perspective, here is the 9300 Speedy compared to the AT 8500 41mm

As you can see the overall "foot print" is not that different. The weight was almost the same.

When comparing a PO 8500 42mm to the weight of a 9300 speedy...the PO felt like a brick!

They are two completely different watches and there is a significant price difference.

Let us know what you decide.
