A local guy wants my 3570.50 1998 and 176.007 blue dial for his 145.022 69, bought by his grandfather, no box or paper, serviced. He has the original white hands.

I find his price a little high, any opinions on his watch condition?

It would scare me to do a deal with someone that put those hands on that watch ::facepalm2::

I think he is asking too much because, if you take the cheapest prices for similar condition watches on the internet that these watches are being offered at as a rough guide guess, then you could pick up his watch for about 1000 dollars less that the combined cost of your watches. What it really comes down to is how much do you want his watch? Maybe let him choose one watch and agree some cash difference. Then you might both be doing a deal you can both live with.

Like the other's have mentioned, I wouldn't consider this deal as it stands. I'm curious as to why the original hands were not put back on during the service. I'd definitely want to see proof of service and negotiate the deal to something more equitable.

Nope, you'd be better off selling your two watches and buying a better premoon.

This is what I offered pretty much. My speedmaster + a sum of cash for his. He said he's interested only if I trade him for both of mine.

Oh well, on to the next one. Thanks everyone

I think you dodged a bullet by avoiding this deal. You can sell both of yours and find a much better condition pre-moon easily, as possibly even a 321 if you're lucky. Best of luck with the search
