Otherwise, a fairly decent and honest watch.

Why would it? It's in pretty nice shape and consistent with the overall condition of the watch.

Watch is from 1966. Dink, in overall nice bezel, is not a major issue

As long as it is not marketed as NOS ;)!
A dent like that shows that it has been in circulation. Ideally speaking it should not have been there, but it does absolutely not reduce desirability IMO!

I would be much more concerned about chrono creep at the hour resister.

I would say hour creep is a matter of servicing. Should be done anyway.

Looks like the bezel ding might have impacted the crystal on the inside. I'd check it to make sure there's not a ticking time bomb situation there, but otherwise if the price is right I'd say it looks fine

I am not the seller. I actually think it is great that you guys are so careful and frightened by some marks from general wear! It makes picking up bargains a bit easier (not saying that this specific watch is a bargain).
Bottom line is this: Hour creep signalizes that the watch is in need of a service. Would anyone of you purchase a nice vintage watch without having it serviced? I hope not if you intend to use it at all!
Secondly: Crystals are available (Omega original) at a cost for sure, but nothing close to the value of this watch. Having it replaced during the service would be a good thing anyway.
There is also a crack in the lume material on one hand, and some other sure signs of aging..... I like it!:)

True, but my concern isn't necessarily the crystal itself but the fit. I suppose you could try to bend (or grind) the inner edge of the bezel back to fit a new crystal, but I would still be a bit worried about the seal going forward. Sure the Speedmaster isn't waterproof and such, but would you feel safe wearing that on a rainy day - or even a sunny, but particularly humid one?

The bezel is not an integral part of the case. The crystal seals to the case, and does not touch the bezel.
If the bezel is so out of shape it will not fit on the case after being lifted of, I am sure a proper watchmaker could gently reshape it. It should not under any circumstances have anything to do with the water proof integrity of the case.

Some really nice sharp CB facets on that, the reason Mike liked it was that it doesn't have the smell or fingerprints of anyone prepping it for sale, it's as-is, and that adds to it.

Is it a case of serious dial distortion, or is the dial actually off centre in the case?

I vote for distortion. Speedy crystals are thick.

But the dial shot is head-on and the "SWISS MADE" looks crooked as well... Haven't seen that before?

Perhaps the nick in the bezel have cracked the crystal?
Hard to say. Here is another shot from the side.
