Today, a chancy, irresponsible purchase from South America - the South Bronx of watch collecting, where one wrong glance will get you redialed and frankened faster than you can say "seventeen jewels unadjusted." The usual rules - 20 yes-or-no questions, 1 question per post, to identify the contents. Wot's in the Box?
16 more questions left and we know it's a 2 register manual wind chronograph. 5) Inhouse movement or generic?

What is the difference? I shall use it for eggs, pasta, some stuff in the lab, and to time how long it takes my girl to get ready to go out in the evening. (Is that a sport?)
not that either. One usually finds more classic brands in South America...say those that enjoyed their heyday in the 1940s and 50s rather than 60s and 70s.
