B1436921-F66D-4F35-9E34-353CF8AFB3BB.jpeg Hi, I have had some very helpful advice in the past from the wise sages on this forum and I need it again please.
This watch is available to buy in a car boot this weekend from someone I see often. The price is £150, not a kings ransoms, but there is not a lot of reference for this style that I can find.
My other dilemma is the watch runs for a bit then stops.
    What should I do?

If you took that out of the bag I hope you washed your hands afterwards.

Thanks everyone, I get the impression it’s possibly one to avoid.
Dilemma no.2, missing it’s crown. I would say it’s real , however it has a back that requires a special tool to open the case so hard to know what’s onside. The stem, which is visible is a kind of a split number?

Where are you looking for watches? Not sure what a "car boot" is, but I'd look elsewhere. I normally don't shop for watches displayed in specimen bags.

You're going to struggle to get much advice from that one photo.

I would assume the dials refinished.

There's plenty of info out there on Cosmics.

Sorry for being vague, a car boot sale is the same as a yard sale/ flea market.
There are often people with display cases full of watches,I took a quick snap shot as a reference for myself, for quick research purposes.
These places can throw up some gems if you are very lucky. I have found a gold cap Connie at one of these sales.
