I was thinking of getting my Daughter a graduation present. Found a mid 70's Omega Seamaster for under $200. Caliber 684 Automatic, 766.0818 in running condition with some wear. 20 Micron Gold plated with some wear on the band. Original signed band and crown. I know womens watches do not bring a lot. Think this one is OK? I would assume that it will need a service.
You'd really need to post some photos to have the guys here give an accurate assessment. Hope it works out.
Yes, and a service would be around $250. I have given my son many watches but none to the daughter. The only one she uses is one of the Garmin runners watches. All said and done I don't think that watch would have the value after service and perhaps a replate on the band.
Look at some of the nicer 1980s and 1990s Quartz models, there are some good ones. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEUTIFUL-0M...785310553?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item256f8d2359Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I'll second Ashley's recommendation. I've seen lots of very nice lady's Omegas from that era for less than $300, some damn near new. If Windy wore yellow gold I would have bought her one a long time ago.
