Respectable OF members who don't bump daily,
(the others really aren't...)

For Sale is my Wittnauer 239T Professional Chronograph 7004A.

I purchased this watch from a local collecting friend last year. I have worn it in rotation with many other watches, and now it has to go to leave some room in the watch box as I (try to) stick to the one-in-one-out rule.

This late 60’s – early 70’s Toolwatch is in superb shape. The signature rotating Burgundy bezel is immaculate. The dial boasts a fantastic black texture, crisps Wittnauer Geneve Professional Chronograph writings and sharp concentric circles on the subdials. The Regatta minute counter on the 3am subdial shows no sign of fading and is a perfect match to the crimson bezel insert. The 11 o’clock lug is slightly less sharp than the other3, it probably was polished however it retains that lovely shape. The other 3 and the rest of the case appear unpolished to my eye. The crown is signed as it should be. I do not know about the watch’s service history but the watch runs within a handful of +/- seconds per day and everything on the manually-wound 7733 chronograph works like it should.

I know this is cliché, but this is a watch that has a lot of personality, especially as this version sports the larger, oversize arrow minute which looks awesome next to the lollipop seconds hand. Wear it with the supplied red-stitched leather bracelet to feel like you’re about to the America’s Cup in Newport in the early 70's.

I am asking for what I paid for it last year: 3400CHF including shipping to Western Europe. (please contact me for outside of WE). I recknon this is anything but the cheapest 239T around – however this clearly is one of the nicest. A lot of those you will find for sale have not aged so nicely, typically sporting faded regatta counter, unsigned service crowns, overpolished cases, etc…

You can pay in any of the mainstream currencies paid to my (ex-Transfer)Wise account. Use the currency converter here: https://www.oanda.com/currency-converter/fr/?from=CHF&to=USD&amount=3200 (for instance)

The amount includes fully Secursus-insured shipping from Switzerland to Western Europe, paid to my (transfer)Wise account, net to me. This way it looks like a “local” wire to you regardless of where you are in the world and is as smooth as silk a banking experience as you can get (Even US buyers get it right first time clip_image001.png ). If you are in other parts of the world, let's talk about how to get it to you, I'm sure we can find a smart and cost-efficient way clip_image002.png If you are in the Lemanic area, then I’d be glad to give you a discount, hand the watch over to you with a bow, and the beer is on me. I am looking for cash.

No trades please.

Sales Terms: (inspired by Spacefruit's):
I only sell to bring some new pieces to my collection. I am not motivated by profit and so I have no reason to embellish or over describe. I have met many OF members in person locally as well as in internationally a few times, and I hope I made a good impression on them. I am not a watch dealer, I make my money elsewhere, but I’m not a philanthropist either. I am not in the least offended by offers, as long as you aren't lowballing me - If you are, I will likely ignore you at the very worst.

Returns: No returns.
I have done my best to provide as much info as I could. I will happily answer all your questions before the sale, and snap more pictures for you. I will not take returns for this watch unless you consider it is grossly misrepresented and you are willing to have a discussion about it all, openly, on omegaforums, i.e. not by PM but into the limelight, as I value my fellow OF members opinions. I am opinionated, but not stubborn.

Thank you OF for the space, and stay safe everyone.

Best regards,
Paul
