Hey guys,

Over the weekend, I managed to pick up a Mil-Spec Wittnauer with an 11ES movement in (a variant of an ETA from what I can find online).

I've seen a couple of these referenced as "Korean War Era US Military" watches - but really can't find any proper information - other than hints that they were made in the late 1940's early 1950's.

If anyone can shed some light, that would be awesome!

Also any recommendation on who in the UK would be good to use for servicing of this!

Cheers!

Chris

Arrived this morning, loving the size, the shape, the crispness of the case (with machining marks still showing through), the patina on the dial, and the blue hands!

I spoke to SwissTec yesterday, who think they can service it (if it is based on an ETA 1080 and they can get the parts!), and can definitely strip, and relume (aged) the hands.

I kinda fancy having the dial relume too, but they weren't sure that was do-able/a good idea.
