I’m selling my 'spare' 1960s Certina DS because I just don’t wear it as much as it deserves.

The watch has a 25-661 manual wind movement in very nice condition and with good power reserve. It runs accurately and the date changes properly. I’m not aware of any defects with the movement.

The case is in nice condition and may have been polished by a previous owner although you can judge for yourself. There are minor wear scratches to the back which show in the photo. The case is 36mm excluding the crown. The height of the watch case and crystal is 10.2mm. Lugs are 18mm.

The crown winds smoothly. It is a signed Certina crown.

The caseback has the smaller turtle which I understand was fitted to manual wind models (the larger turtle being used on automatics).

The dial is 'patinated silver', which I think has aged to an attractive colour. There are marks on the face which you can see in the photos, particularly between 12-3 and a small raised ‘pimple' just below the bottom right corner of the date window.

The hands and date wheel are in nice condition in my opinion. New leather strap.

I’m asking £300 plus postage from London, generally by insured Royal Mail. I’m in London (UK).

I'm happy to answer any questions about the watch.

Robert
