Here is a nice Fortis Marinemaster. Stainless steel Case shows minimal wear and tear. Serviced 3 years ago, and worn sparingly. Made 4th quarter 1970. Runs and keeping time. Internal rotating bezel also works without issues. Comes on generic 22mm leather straps. Selling as is. Selling at AUD$1750 or USD$ 1200 with international postage with tracking included. Australia-wide postage is less, and price is adjusted accordingly. Bank transfer preferred, but paypal ok if buyer adds 3% fee. Import duty is responsibility of buyer. email contact is: initial.jh AT gmail DOT com . Reference available from here and other watch forums.
The watch is listed on TimeZone with photos (http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=7558332&rid=0#msg_7558332), and looks like one of the fakes with the "4-70" inside the case-back and the engravings polished off of the back. These are all over the internet. Here is one blog about them. http://largevintagewatches.blogspot.com/2015/01/fortis-marinemaster-watch-out.html
So after reading through the blog post it would appear that the one listed for sale is one of the counterfeits.
Hi Thanks for feedback 1) never intended to sell counterfeit 2) I guess I was the fool who bought it thinking it was real 3) I lurk but don’t post much. But have learn a bit , so thank you all. I’ll withdraw the watch.
