Respectable member Melhadery was recently able to help me source this barn find Connie from an Estate sale in the US - All thanks goes to him since he knows my love of early Constellations! ;)

It looked like a chancer......So I decided to take the plunge thinking it was a gold dial with gold arrowhead markers...(This is how misleading pictures can be!) Also no movement shots...:whistling:

Anyway, not seen many with the Pie Pan dial, large arrowheads and RG markers, really sets off the dial. I think the case back may be a replacement as it's Yellow Gold. It's a 2852-5 Cal. 505.

All I did was clean the case with a cotton bud, crystal with some Polywatch, (crystal will need replacing in the end because there's a crack at 12!)

These were taken quickly so please excuse the quality and my patience!

    Dial is in nice shape:

Looking forward to do the next stage of the restoration! :)

Brilliant job! And the dial is actually in first-class condition, you would never have thought so from the first picture. Some of your attachments don't show up for me (# 3,4,5 & 6).

The markers are not RG, just tarnished which gives them a great looking patina. Do not clean them. It is still none the less a great watch.
Here is one of mine with the same phenomenon.

Nice example! That makes more sense. Since the caseback is YG.

    Interesting how things tarnish..

Anyway, here is a picture in natural daylight!

Always think ahead in life... and treat others like you would like to be treated!.......... I think this is possibly one of the most interesting and informative forums around, and we are like a small family, bridging the gap between culture too and just enjoying a very rewarding passion! Ps. It will be an early Chronometer Connie, or precursor to the Constellation line, If I find one...but It's only a dream for now...

Ugh. You utter bastard. I am so jealous that everything you pick up turns out ten times better than the photos...

I take it that the ::censored:: was the polite English way of saying I would like dibs? :p

I think may have to buy my other half a watch soon. Noticed you did the sensible thing and just gave in! ;) So I may need to find some extra funds for that, depending on what she's after....:cautious:
