Thinly veiled attempt at a sales post....
While the OP should have read the Forum rules, he's new. It could just be that he's asking for advice and that is all that he is doing. I'd prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yes absolutly! I'm new to the forum, and definitly not here to sell or do things that are against the rules. I should have made my thread question better. Thank you for the feedback

There isn't much overlap in these two watches, they both have a distinctive look. Unless you need the money, keep both.

Apollo 11 45th should've been the 50th anniversary edition in my opinion. It's just such a beautiful watch.

If you decide to sell your 17, I suggest acquiring a titanium bracelet for the 45th. I occasionally wear it to weddings because it dresses up well. That also makes it a great travel watch because it dresses down well too.

Nothing like a gold/titianium tool watch.

That 17 is not an attractive watch to me. I’d be moving that on quick sharp

The 45 is the only watch I have ever bought new from Omega. I chased it around Asia until I found a boutique who had one and bought it with cash, no hesitation.

it is one of the most attractive watches I have ever owned and I have never once regretted it. The dial is notoriously difficult to capture in photographs and has a just right brown crystalline surface. It is a unique piece.

the 17, by contrast. Looks to me like an Invicta. (No offence)

Now that's cold.

Just not a fan of any of these Apollo *** Limited editions, nor of people who join only to ask opinions on which one of their watches will bring them the most money (my interpretation).

I’m also fighting a COVID infection, so not feeling the most generous today.

I see the attraction with the 45 for sure.

Omega have now had 2 goes at the Ap17 and neither has been a massive success. Indeed the first attempt, the silver coin dial model is infamous for having looks only a mother could love. The second go is less objectionable but the Gemini 4 did blue much better.
