This has been on my wish list for some time so happy to see this in the post this morning.

Nice example of a uncommon large 37mm diameter constellation. As these only lived in the far east the dials normally have some patina. This example has a great condition dial and hands. The crown is a later replacement but that can be corrected at service.

Now for around the back and inside. Correct case back style with wide step and medallion in very good crisp condition. Inside the caseback has the expected reference marks. Case has a fantastically gooey seal. The movement is in great condition with low 17mil 504 movement. I estimate it is late 50's or early 60's but an extract from the archives will confirm.

As requested......wrist shot. Great presence compared to the more common size.

Here is a side by side with a 14393

Also, here flanked by a couple of younger cousins with 14777 reference, all are 37mm

I was chuffed to bag this example and for less then I expected. Yes I have the jumbo bug and still on my list is the same 14395 reference but in SS. All examples I have seen of this 504 powered jumbo are goldcap so if anyone has an example in SS I would love to see it. I would expect that the SS versions were not looked after as well as the goldcap and with the 504 being in such small numbers I am not expecting to be cashing out any dividends any time soon.

The final pieces......Omega brown strap, I think these set of Gold real well. Also, a correct buckle and an extract to check if movement left the factory with this watch. I know...... before someone points out it is not a 100% guarantee but close as dam for me.
Anyway....now for some wrist time and enjoy.

@Banner Roar excellent find. Were these jumbo made in a no-date version?

Unfortunately no, the 3 references at 37mm diameter known as the 'jumbo' connies 168.001, 14777 and 14395 are all with date movements 561 and the 504.
